Body Mind Collective CIC successfully awarded £1,801 by the Social Enterprise Boost Fund (SEBF) to kick start and accelerate social enterprise activity.

On 3 November 2023, Body Mind Collective CIC was successfully awarded £1,801 by the Social Enterprise Boost Fund (SEBF) to create company branding, and build a new website.

Previously trading as Bryony Morris Yoga, the branding and website will help to launch the new not-for-profit Body Mind Collective CIC. The website will have simpler design and functionality, with additional offerings for attendees. Brand new features will include live online classes, an on-demand video library, and online courses. Throughout the design process, feedback will be provided from the Body Mind Collective steering group.

Body Mind Collective aims to make yoga financially accessible by offering lower cost sessions. This funding will ensure that the social enterprise can grow in a cost-effective way, without having to increase prices for the local community to develop the project.

Bryony Morris, Founder of Body Mind Collective, was invited to apply for funding of up to £10,000 on completion of attending the West Midlands SEBF Social Enterprise MOT programme delivered by SCVO (Sandwell Council of Voluntary Organisations) and SWEDA Services.

Bryony said: “We would like to thank SWEDA and SCVO for their support throughout this process and for funding this project. With our new website and new features, we hope to become more accessible and inclusive to local residents who are not always able to get to a physical yoga class, but would like to join a community where they can create positive habits.”

The Social Enterprise Boost Fund is a government package of funding to help kick start and accelerate social enterprise activity in six disadvantaged areas of England, including Sandwell. The MOT programme helps social enterprises gain specific business knowledge in their sector, and supports their entrepreneurs through mentoring and networking.

Branding for this project will be undertaken by designer Helen Connolly, the website will be built by Sandwell social enterprise Citizen Click CIC, and photography will be captured by local freelance photographer Nikki Karina Hobbs.
